We had the wonderful pleasure of speaking with actress, entrepreneur, and founder of independent brand Sereia, Alexis Ren (@alexisren), about the intersection of fashion, wellness, and intentional living — from the childhood inspirations that shaped her love of style to the timeless, vintage-inspired world she's building through her brand.
Can you share a bit about your journey into fashion? What inspired you to start a jewelry brand?
Fashion has always been a part of my life. I was homeschooled growing up, so I spent a lot of time at home but that never limited my creativity. I would plan my outfits for every day of the week, even for something as simple as running errands with my mom. She was really my first inspiration. No matter what she was doing, she always showed up with intention. Her hair done, her makeup done, always feeling put together. That stayed with me. It taught me that beauty and fashion aren’t about the occasion, they’re about how you move through the world.
That early love naturally evolved into Sereia. I’ve always been drawn to timeless glamour, old Hollywood, femininity, pieces that feel like they carry a story. Creating a jewelry brand felt like the most intimate way to express that.
